CareerWise - Grow Up. Get a Job™ career exploration products were developed by two former human resources marketing executives, Melissa Kerlin and Susan Schneider.

Kerlin and Schneider both worked as human resources marketing executives for almost twenty years. Over the years they came to realize how many interesting jobs there are in the world that few kids ever hear about as career choices. And, that opening kids’ eyes to the big, wide world of opportunities around them would make their schoolwork more relevant, purposeful and motivating.

The authors also heard again and again from employers that most kids lack very basic, practical and relevant information about how to get, find and keep a job from an employer’s perspective. So they set about sharing their insights on that important topic too.

Get a Job™ career exploration products are easy for adults to use but the format, tone, style and content is written to excite, motivate and engage kids of all backgrounds, ages and skill levels. The materials can be used in classrooms, homes, youth-at-risk programs and anywhere else adults are helping kids develop valuable marketable skills that will help them have brighter, safer and more independent futures!
