The CareerWise career iPhone App is an exciting new way to get kids thinking about and exploring careers, and growing up and getting a job someday. It makes career exploration fun. It delivers motivating, relevant career exploration activities and information in a format sure to grab attention.

The CareerWise career iPhone App opens kids’ eyes to over a thousand career choices, introduces them to employment-related vocabulary, practices and processes, and helps them develop important career and life skills along the way.

It can be used by adults as a teaching, mentoring and counseling tool too.

The CareerWise IPhone App has four sections:

• 1001 Job Titles from A to Z
• Vocabulary for the Working World
• Good to Know Hints & Tips
• My Journal

Each section has multiple levels of interactivity that are accessed by swipes and taps with links to Wikipedia for definitions, job descriptions and more. “Shake It Up” for magic eight ball-style surprises.

The section content and interactivity includes:

1001 Job Titles

• Swipe forward or backward through 1001 Job Titles from A to Z
• Tap each job title and the screen flips to display an automatic link to Wikipedia’s definition
• Tap the Wisdom icon for creative career exploration activities to learn more about jobs, job hunting and job preparation
• Tap the Shake It Up icon for a random Job Title
• Tap the Journal icon to add a title to “My Journal” for future reference

Vocabulary for the Working World

• Swipe through 75 employment-related vocabulary words
• Tap each word and the screen flips to display an automatic link to Wikipedia’s definition
• Tap the Wisdom icon to reveal the Spanish language translation of the word as well as periodic, random exercises relating to specific words
• Tap the Shake It Up icon for a random vocabulary word
• Tap the Journal icon to add the vocabulary word to “My Journal” for future reference

• Swipe through valuable tips about successfully entering and succeeding in the employment world
• Tap the Wisdom icon for a wise way to put that hint to work
